Youth culture, fashion and music media brand hires

The Brief

We were enlisted by a global youth culture, fashion and music media brand with an internationally renowned print publication as well as several digital platforms and a creative agency to appoint a Creative Strategy Director to take the brand to the next level and ultimately increase revenues, working tightly with the majority stakeholders in the business.

The Process

This business are all about people that "get it” and being one of the most creative and multi-faceted brands we partner with, all talent presented to them needed to align with this ethos and culture, with the ability to communicate the global brand vision in the most natural way possible.

Growth takes a very fluid path with this client and we encountered changes in direction as we moved through the search which were managed by effective communication with the leadership team. Our job was ultimately to find talent that could fit into the current structure in terms of vibe and fit, but also navigate the new direction in publishing and commercialising this: branded content.

Winning the trust of the Line Managers, we were able to create some calm in the process and keep things ticking along so that everyone knew where they were at in terms of decision making. With a well respected but occasionally hard to pin down Founder, we managed to keep everyone connected and had a positive outcome.

The Result

After successfully placing the Creative Strategy Director we then got briefed on further searches across the in-house Creative Studio placing a Strategist, Sales Director, and Project Director from competitor businesses as well as Freelance Art Directors and Designers.

We consider this brand as one of the most influential businesses we’re partnered with in terms of culture and creativity and our work continues together.
